Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

Getting started

What is Brillo?+

Brillo is a platform for trading-card collectors and stores to scan, manage, and grow a card business -- an AI card scanner, inventory management, a public portfolio/showcase, point of sale, live market data, and analytics, all in one account.

Do I need a paid plan to sign up?+

No. Every account starts on the Free plan, which lets you browse the catalog, view public seller profiles, and use messaging. Selling features like Inventory, Scan, and Dashboard need a paid plan -- see our Pricing page.

What do the paid plans cost?+

Starter is $2/mo, Basic is $5/mo, Pro is $10/mo, Business is $20/mo, and Enterprise is $70/mo. Every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial, and you can change or cancel your plan at any time from Billing.

Scanning and inventory

How accurate is the AI card scanner?+

The scanner identifies the set, card number, and estimated condition/grade from a photo, and shows its confidence alongside the match. It’s a starting point to speed up data entry -- always double-check the details before you list or price a card.

Can I scan a whole binder page at once?+

Yes -- Binder Scan detects every card in a single photo of a binder page or box and matches each one, so you don’t have to scan cards one at a time.

Where do market prices come from, and how often do they update?+

Pricing and population data sync automatically on a schedule (daily by default). Prices are a market reference, not a guarantee of what any specific card will sell for.

Buying, selling, and safety

How do purchase inquiries and in-person pickups work?+

A buyer sends a cart of cards they want from your public profile; you negotiate and accept in the built-in messaging. If you agree to meet in person instead of shipping, both sides confirm a safety notice before the pickup is finalized -- see our Privacy Policy for exactly what’s recorded and why.

Does Brillo process payments or supervise meetings?+

No. Brillo is a communication and discovery platform -- it connects buyers and sellers, but does not process payment between users, arrange logistics, or supervise in-person meetings. Always meet in a safe, public location.

What is Point of Sale (POS) for?+

POS lets a store sell cards in person or online, print receipts, and have every sale automatically reflected in Inventory and the Dashboard.

Account and billing

How do I cancel or change my plan?+

Open Billing from your account menu -- you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period; upgrades apply immediately.

Is my payment information stored on Brillo’s servers?+

No. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe -- Brillo never stores your card number.
